  4. Select the data source:

This creates a selector from the values in your datasets.

    1. Under Common settings:

      1. Select a Dataset.

      2. Choose a Field with the data you need.

    2. Select an Element type:

      • List to display the field values in a drop-down menu. Check the Multiple choice box for selecting multiple values.

      • Input field to input selected values manually.

      • Calendar to display the date selection interface. Use this for the fields of the Date and Date and Time type.

This creates a selector from the values you input manually.

    Select the Element type:

    • List

This creates a drop-down menu from a list of data points.

      1. Create a unique Field name.

      2. Click Possible values to add selectable data points to the list.

        • Enter your data point in the Add value field, then click Add.
        • Compile your list and click Apply.
      3. Toggle Multiple choice box to make more than one value selectable.

      4. Select a Default value for the list from the drop-down menu.

      2. Select Possible values:

        • Choose Start and End dates of the designated time period.

        • Not defined keeps the selector empty.

        • Selecting a value provides a set of tools:

          • Preset is a modifier rule that will automatically update the field every time you open the dashboard.

          • Value gives you two options:

          • Exact date sets a single point in the calendar.

          • Offset from the current date gives you a tool to create a custom modifier rule.

    • Input field

This creates a field for manual input.

      1. Create a unique Field name.

      2. Specify a Default value for the field.

Empty selector behavior

Under Appearance:

  2. For the List element type, toggle Inner title. It allows you to indicate the type of operation inside the selector.

Finish creating the selector:

  1. Click Add.

  2. Choose the right location for your selector by dragging it around the dashboard.

  3. Click Save in the upper-right corner of your dashboard page.
