Apply default filters to dataset fields

You can apply default filters to charts to shorten their render time.

If the number of data rows exceeds data limits for charts, default filters allow you to restrict the number of rows to render.

To apply a filter to a data field in the dataset:

1. Open the Visualization page in the console.

2. Open the workbook and select the dataset to which you want to apply a filter.

3. On the dataset page, open the Filtration tab.

4. Click Add.

5. Select a field to provide values for filtering.

6. Select an Operation to perform on the values from the drop-down list.

7. Specify the field values to filter by.

8. Click Apply filter.

9. Click Save in the upper-right corner of your dataset page.
